TYPES OF STAY
The Gardner has a unique sense of old-world charm and the western frontier. We have a variety of hotel & hostel rooms to fit any traveler’s needs. It's 1922 design offers completely private rooms, private rooms with a sink in the room and shared hallway bathroom, and Jack and Jill style rooms where the bathroom connects two rooms. We use the Jack & Jill style rooms for our hostel dorms!

They’re great places to meet like-minded travelers, share stories, and plan events together.
The El Paso Hostel at Gardner Hotel
The El Paso Hostel at Gardner Hotel opened back in 1984, and has been serving travelers from around the globe since then! We have been recognized for excellence by Lonely Planet and Harvard University (Let’s Go), along with other awards.
A stay in the hostel is ideal for solo travelers or groups of friends or students who want to enjoy the downtown location and Hotel’s history, but on a budget.
Centrally situated near to all the tourist attractions in the city center, we are conveniently located for you to enjoy all that El Paso has to offer, whatever interests you may have. We have a selection of rooms and facilities including a communal self-service kitchen for those staying in the hostel so you can make your own meals or prepare for daytrips, a dining area to meet other travelers and share a meal, and a games room with a pool table to socialize.
Please note there is a 2 week maximum stay in the dorm. If you would like to stay longer, you are more than welcome to move to a private room. Also, you need and online reservation or a passport to stay in the dorms.
