Gardner Hotel

Gardner Hotel

The Gardner Hotel is the oldest continually operating hotel in the city of El Paso. The rooms still have their original antique furniture, although cable TV and new telephones have been added. In the 1930’s, the notorious gangster John Dillinger stayed at the Gardner Hotel just before his capture in Tucson, Arizona.

The Gardner Hotel is situated midway between the nightlife of downtown Juarez, Mexico and the pubs, cafes and clubs that encircle the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). All areas of the city are easily accessible by public bus as the main terminal is only 2 blocks away. If you want to travel to White Sands or to Carlsbad Caverns, we are centrally located for such day trips which are not just amazing but also fun. Ask the front desk about these daytrips. Or if you want real Mexican food, El Paso boasts many nationally rated Mexican cafes.

Only a short distance is Juarez, the 4th largest city in Mexico. Enjoy the open air markets, real Mexican cuisine and a taste of another culture. If your appetite is for real Texan, El Paso offers the best in making you at home. Our staff will be happy to help you find the scene you are looking for.

We offer a full service to all travelers. Enjoy our unique atmosphere of guests from all over the world.
